Those of us "oldies" probably remember that "white bumpy glass" on the family table. Well, that "white bumpy glass", turns out to be the highly collectible Hobnail milk glass pattern. In days past people would pound round headed nails into the soles of their boots to give them traction on sloppy ground, giving their boots a bottom with rounded studs. This gave Fenton the idea to call their bumpy pattern Hobnail.

Sitting on a scalloped, footed base and featuring a smooth handle, the bulbous body is covered in Hobnails and is topped with a crimped rim and generous pouring spout. The matching lid features the hobnail pattern and handle on top. It sits onto the crimped rim of the base for a nice fit.
