Jaeger & Co. - Orchard Pattern - Salad Plate - Style 1

This Jaeger & Co. salad plate features the Orchard pattern and is from Bavaria, Germany. The Orchard pattern features fruits and vegetables as well as gold detailing. Most pieces in this pattern feature a large motif of various fruits and vegetables. This pattern was introduced in 1964 and was retired in 1970.

This salad plate features a stark white base and measures 7.75" across with a gradually upturned edge. A thick gold band surrounds the outer edge and the center features a large Orange with radishes, blue berries and a potato. There are different versions of the salad plate that feature the same gold border but a different pattern in the center.
