These days, I have shoes and jewelry to act as my accessories. But when I was little, there was only one thing that counted: my lunchbox.

And I think all can agree that this one tops the charts. Made of aluminum, this collectible has enough character packed into its rectangular shape to fill a room. The yellow lining frames the whole Sesame Street gang, from Big Bird to Oscar the Grouch to Ernie and Bert and even the Cookie Monster.

The school scene brings me right back to my childhood, when the big green blackboard was filled with letters and lessons. I may not want to go back to learning geometry, but I sure would love to visit this scene!

Created in 1979 by Aladdin Industries, this piece is in good vintage condition, with some signs of wear that you can see in the photos. Maybe this collectible will be the start of a movement: out with the jewels, and back in with the lunch boxes!
